Always such a joyful day for the community, every year I set up the portable audio system, with the use of 2 wireless mics and 4 speakers. I run the audio for the entire event, music, dance segments, MC segments from Mr. Kevin, and more!

This year was super fun, a very simple yet textured stage design. I helped design/program lighting and also ran the board during the Sunday Services.

Outdoor Audio Cart 2023, Christ’s Church of the Valley, Royersford PA

I had an idea to build a cart that can hold our 4 outdoor speakers (JBL EON612s), 4 stands, cables, and have room on top for the mixer, 2 laptops, and maybe a wireless mic. After seeing how marching bands use carts for their audio and synth equipment, I took to my notebook to design a simple version. I then asked the pastoral staff for a budget approval and we got to building! An amazing volunteer offered to help build the cart, it cost under $225! Since it has been build it has been used for so many events and has truly made a difference! Events like Kids Camp, House Party, Trunk or Treat, Easter Egg Hunt, Small outdoor worship nights, outdoor movie nights, and events where we have traveled to play worship!

This year was a very industrial feeling stage, we had a slight amount of rental lights as well as trussing that we flew up on stage. I helped with load-in, load-out, and also a small bit of the actual programming.

High School and Middle School Ministry, Christ’s Church of the Valley, Royersford PA

Over the past 4 years I have been blessed to serve the youth ministry at CCV in so many ways, every Wednesday and Sunday night I would assist with the tech side of the service/Worship segment of the night. I would make sure songs were added properly in ProPresenter, sound check the band (anywhere from 1 singer/guitar up to a full band), I would program or setup the light board, and my favorite part of it all; teach curious students and volunteers how to run and work equipment. On nights when we would meet in other locations, or want something extra; I would help set it up and assist where needed.

Valley Kids Building Tech Remodel, Christ’s Church of the Valley, Royersford PA

Over the past 2 years I have been cleaning, updating, and streamlining the tech spaces we have in our children’s ministry building. We have our main Elementary Auditorium with a mini version of our main worship auditorium, the 4th/5th grade room with 2 speaker powered by an amp, a small soundboard and a laptop, the “warehouse” with a copy of our 4th/5th grade room but with a bigger soundboard and input capacity, and our PreK room with a smaller version of the 4th/5th grade room setup. This has been a long journey however I am extremely happy with how it has ended up. To be able to clean out old cable messes, update/fix equipment, teach people who were interested in tech, and take a small load off of the pastoral teams back is so worth it.
